Red Spot Removal

We use a laser to target the blood vessels and the blood that flows within the capillary causing the redness, closing them off and allowing your body to absorb and expel them naturally. Red spots can often be removed in one treatment with no downtime, but every patient is unique and more sessions may be needed for thorough results.

Characteristics

These red spots that you can see on the skin are due to abnormal blood vessels located just below the skins surface, the blood flowing through these vessels pool within the vessel creating the reddish colour.

These red spots are also referred to as vascular lesions.

Common Vascular lesions include:

PORT WINE STAINS

is a birthmark in which swollen blood vessels create a reddish-purplish discoloration of the skin. Port-wine stains are caused by an abnormal formation of tiny blood vessels in the skin.

STRAWBERRY HEMANGIOMAS

is a red birthmark named for its colour. This red tinge of skin comes from a collection of blood vessels close to the skin’s surface.

SPIDER VEINS- TELANGIECTASIA

Small dilated blood vessels that can occur near the surface of the skin or mucous membranes. These dilated blood vessels can develop anywhere on the body but are commonly seen on the face around the nose, cheeks, and chin.

Treatment Options

DERMALUX LED LIGHT THERAPY

A powerful, yet non-invasive way to energize cell function, stimulate collagen production and promote healing. We combine red light with infrared which has a penetrative depth of 633nm. This is a safe and effective light that targets the skin cells deep within the dermal layers to strengthen their functions, stimulate blood flow and induce a faster cellular healing response. This treatment is proven to promote and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, reduce active acne, kill bacteria, increase circulation, and reduce redness and inflammation. This is the perfect treatment for rosacea and a sensitized red skin. Depending on the severity of the Rosacea or redness we recommend 2-3 treatments per week until symptoms are resolve.
